Autumn in Kyoto

Have you been to Kyoto? I think you have at least heard of the name. Kyoto was a capital of Japan and emperor’s residence for hundreds of years. Though many of the big cities in Japan were destroyed during the wars, Kyoto remains undestroyed due to its historic value.

I personally think Kyoto is a beautiful place with lots of famous temples and shrines. I went to Kyoto late Nov. to enjoy the autumn leaves and beautiful scenery there. This time, I went to northern part of Kyoto to visit Sanzenin temple and mount Hieizan. As these places are located suburb of Kyoto and not easy to access, places were a lot quieter than most of the sightseeing spots in Kyoto. Colors of autumn leaves are extraordinary and made a great match with the look of old temples. If you ever plan to visit Japan, Kyoto is one of the places that worth a visit !!
